This 1880’s cottage has an open plan living space which is the perfect place to spend some down time after a busy day walking along the Cleveland Way or a day at the beach. The cottage kitchen is well equipped, perfect for cooking up a romantic meal for two or family dinner. Enjoy rolling meadow views from the breakfast bar with your morning coffee or watch the birds from the outdoor seating in the little courtyard whilst you plan your day.
Upstairs the romantic and spacious master bedroom boasts a sea view from the window. Additional guests will enjoy the seaside themed twin bedroom, whilst the cute bathroom has a corner shower cubicle with electric shower.
The historic market town of Loftus is the perfect base to explore many of the nearby gems on the delightful Yorkshire Heritage Coast. The Cleveland Way snakes its way along the coast towards the lovely Victorian town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, which has a fabulous stretch of beach. Along the charming promenade is a pier, funicular cliff lift to the town and several local restaurants to dine by the sea. The Saltburn Miniature Railway meanders through the Valley Gardens where you can stop and enjoy tea and cake at the café. Just a few miles down the coast, the winding cobbled streets of Staithes has pubs, cafés and gift shops to visit.
The wonderful fishing town of Whitby is just half and hour drive with its historic abbey, bustling marina and famous fish and chip shops, and its a great place to explore. Just a few miles from the property is some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park has many places to visit such as Goathland (also known as Aidensfield from Heartbeat) and home to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, where you can catch a train from Goathland to Pickering.
The Miners Cottage is situated in a great location to explore all these wonderful North Yorkshire treats and can be enjoyed by families, walkers, surfers, bikers and hikers, or anyone wanting a perfect get away from it all holiday that’s not too far from great towns and wonderful scenery.
