The Malverns are a true unspoilt paradise, a real hidden gem, with a stunning landscape, beautiful towns and lively villages to discover. Malvern is a Victorian spa town with bijou shops mixed up with the big brand stores and also famous for the Great Malvern Food Festival at the end of May. In the Teme Valley you’ll come across Tenbury Wells, a busy ancient market town once visited by Queen Victoria who affectionately described it as ‘my little town in the orchard’. Hops and cider apples are widely grown as well as cattle and sheep farming and the annual Agricultural and Countryside Show in August is a great testament to this.

Many cottage rentals in the Malvern Hills are dog friendly, which isn’t surprising as the whole area is perfect for exploring on foot, so perfect to take your four legged friend on holiday as well. There are walks for all abilities with gentle ambles along tree-lined paths or the more energetic can hike along the ridge of the Malvern Hills. There’s also some lovely walking in the countryside of the Teme Valley and for riverside walks head for the Severn Valley which also offers up great views of the Cotswolds. As well as the countryside and rivers there are marked town trails in Malvern, Upton upon Severn and Tenbury Wells, a great way to get your bearings and make sure you don’t miss anything.

There is always something to do and see, try the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, the Upton Blues Festival, the Royal Three Counties Show or the Malvern Theatres with first class productions throughout the year.
