Being on the edge of the Pennines and the Peak District National Park, the location is also perfect for visiting the Yorkshire Dales, with the convenience of local town amenities of both Huddersfield and Holmfirth just 20 minutes away. Attractions in the area include the nationally renowned Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Hepworth Gallery, Cannon Hall and the National Coal Mining Museum, which can all be reached in around 20 minutes. In 30 minutes you can be at Wentworth Castle or the Colne Valley Museum and in 40 minutes the National Trust Nostell Priory, or the Royal Armouries in Leeds. The city of Leeds has become a major shopping destination in recent years, while Meadowhall Shopping Centre with its abundance of shops and eateries is also just 40 minutes, with the bright lights of Manchester and York just over an hour away.
