Stay in the heart of the cultural city of Coventry in style! These 4 unique and historic cottages on Priory Row, also known at The Lychgate Cottages date back to 1415 and provide luxury accommodation within a Grade II listed property. Located beside Holy Trinity Church, these timber framed properties originally formed part of the precinct of the 12th century St Mary’s Priory and is the only upstanding building which survives from the Priory complex. They have been lovingly restored by Historic Coventry Trust to find a new life as unique accommodation for visitors to the city. Each cottage is unique, have lots of character and offers guests something different so you’ll want to keep returning and try out all the properties and work out which is your favourite! All properties have original features, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchens and views over Holy Trinity Church and Broadgate. 3 Priory Row is set over 3 floors with 2 double bedrooms, 1 of which boasts an ensuite with a modern free-standing bath, the other with access to a large shower room and is perfect for couples, small families and friends visiting the city. On the ground floor is the modern living room and separate kitchen/diner with Silestone grey quartz worktops, modern Neff cooker with induction hob, integrated dishwasher, microwave, fridge with icebox, and quality cooking equipment. To the rear is a utility room, and access to the rear private enclosed courtyard which is available for guests.
Due to the age of the property, it features steep winding steps to the 1st and 2nd floors. There’s always plenty going on in the city including an exciting range of music at the recently restored Drapers’ Hall, just round the corner. There are an array of shops, bars and restaurants just moments away and discover Coventry Cathedral which stands beside the ruins of the former which was bombed in World War II. The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and Coventry Transport Museum are also a very short walk away. Having a longer break? Then discover more of what Warwickshire has to offer including the famous castle in Warwick for a great day out, Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon to discover his birthplace, take in one of his famous plays at the RSC Theatre or take a boat trip on the river.
