Quincey Cottage is named after the owners little black Terrier Quincey, who in turn is named after one of the heroic characters in Bram Stoker’s Dracula!
On the ground floor, you’re welcomed into a beamed ceiling open-plan living area, featuring two comfortable sofas around a cosy gas fire and a dining table perfect for intimate meals. The adjoining kitchen is well-equipped and overlooks a small, enclosed yard with outdoor seating and an outhouse ideal for storing beach gear like paddleboards, and bodyboards – perfect for a short stroll to the beach.
Upstairs, the first floor hosts a double bedroom with large built-in wardrobes for all your belongings, there is also a shower room on this floor. While the second floor features another double bedroom nestled under the eaves, offering a cosy and peaceful retreat.
Whitby is a town rich in history and culture. The iconic Whitby Abbey perched high on the cliffs, inspired the setting for Dracula and offers breathtaking views after climbing the famous 199 steps.
The town is also home to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, celebrating the town’s seafaring heritage, and the whalebone arch, which symbolizes Whitby’s whaling history. The East Side and Old Town have been inspiring visitors, Artists, and writers for over 1500 years and are probably most famously featured in Bram Stoker’s Gothic novel "Dracula".
