The terraced cottage has been thoughtfully furnished and presented and is just a short walk down to Instow’s beach. It has a wood burner in the living room to provide a cosy and relaxing atmosphere, as well as a rear courtyard, which also benefits from a rear access, which is ideal for muddy/sandy paws, or for surfboards and bikes. In the summer season, the owner has secured a permit to park at the North Devon Cricket Club which is a 5-minute walk from the cottage. Anchor Cottage is a level walk to all the restaurants, bars and pubs in Instow and there is even a very well-stocked and popular deli/convenience shop located within easy walking distance. The nearby beach is great for dog walking and Instow benefits from the most spectacular sunsets during the summer months. If you want to get out and about, there is plenty to do in the area.
The nearby town of Bideford is a short journey away and has a good range of shops and amenities. From the quay you can arrange a trip to Lundy Island, or Westward Ho! is only 3 miles away and has a long stretch of sand and good surf. The cottage is also ideally located to explore further afield, with Exmoor and its surroundings and attractions to the east, or to the west there are the north Cornish and Devon coastlines with excellent walking and hidden treasures like Clovelly, Bucks Mill and Hartland Quay. the Big Sheep Farm Park, the Milky Way Activity Park, Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor, Tarka Cycle Trail and footpath, and indoor swimming pool are all within easy reach and will ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. In conclusion, Anchor Cottage provides not only a wonderfully inclusive property, but a great variety of activities to cater to any type of guest, from those who want to relax, to those who wish to explore and try new things, there’s something for everyone here!
