Apple Loft is nestled in quiet and picturesque Nordham, on the outskirts of North Cave near Beverley. Homely and inviting, it offers comfortable accommodation with beams, stone walls and a feature bath in the bedroom. It is perfect for couples and is an ideal touring base, or simply a great place to sit back and relax in the peace and quiet of this lovely village. There’s immediate access from the entrance door to a charming totally private gravelled sitting area, besides an oak building with a tree for shade. Apple Loft off-road parking is in the designated parking space behind Horseshoe cottage, just around the corner to Apple Loft. There is much to offer in this wonderful part of the world, with some lovely countryside and streamside walks to be enjoyed right from the front door, including the Wetlands Bird Sanctuary. Here you can enjoy some great cycling on quiet roads, enjoying the tracks of the Tour de Yorkshire, and varied cycle routes.
Being situated just 2 miles from the M62 means that this property is easy to get to, and well located to explore the area. The apartment is located close to the market towns of Beverley and Market Weighton, both very popular. The historic city of Hull, ‘city of culture’ in 2017, is only 20 minutes away and York only 45 minutes away. Both offer many different experiences including The Deep, a day at the races, York Dungeons, Viking Museum, theatre or live music. Here you are only a 35-minute drive from the coast for a grand day out. Take a walk along the beach and then stop off for a bite to eat. If it’s an activity holiday you are looking for why not try fishing, kayaking, clay pigeon shooting available just outside the village, or even diving!.
North Cave is the Gateway to East Yorkshire’s Nature Triangle, and you can spot a variety of wildlife in the woodlands, or at the Wetlands where there are stunning sunsets, for natural photographic experiences. There are two garden centres in the village, one specialising in wildflowers. Fawley House private garden next door opens for charity and can be viewed by arrangement with the owner if you are interested in gardening. A homegrown vegetable basket is offered during your stay in the growing season. There’s an egg and veg stand at the end of the street and a good village shop/post office.
The local farm shop is hugely popular with visitors for local produce and for their award-winning restaurant food. There is a friendly pub in the village for an evening drink, and a fish and chip shop next door. A short walk away through parkland in the next village is another very popular food serving pub. Other great food serving pubs can be found in South Cave, Ellerker, Newbald and Sancton, just over 3 miles away from the property. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 1½ miles.
