Welcome to Ashmere, a spacious annexed lodge located in a peaceful setting, great for discovering the delights of this breath-taking area of Cornwall. Set within 5 acres of land, there are impressive views across to atmospheric Bodmin Moor, whilst an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Tamar Valley, is waiting to be enjoyed close by.
This holiday retreat has been carefully refurbished, providing comfort with style, a lovely space to relax and escape the hustle and bustle or to set off and explore the countless gems which await. There is ample parking, private patio area ideal for morning coffee or a little al fresco dining and a charming garden too. Inside there is a fabulous retro-styled kitchen with all the essentials, including breakfast bar area, an open plan lounge diner with super-comfy sofa, double sofa bed, Smart TV and doors leading outdoors, where memorable sunsets can be enjoyed. There is an inviting double bedroom with twin beds which can convert to a double if required, and a family bathroom with large corner shower.
The dark sky here is a joy to behold; unpolluted the views above are truly wonderful, with the Milky Way spiralling and shooting stars a common sight! If you can tear yourself away, the town of Callington is within walking distance with shops and amenities, whilst for a huge range of attractions, restaurants and the famous Hoe, the historic naval city of Plymouth is just 25 minutes away. Venture south and there are several beaches, along with the ancient coastal town of Looe and nearby beautiful Polperro, steeped in a history of smuggling and wrecking, with narrow streets and boutique shops. Both Dartmoor National Park and Bodmin Moor have countless walks and offer far reaching vistas to marvel at, whilst the North Cornwall coast offers pretty villages, coves, inlets and rugged cliffs with huge stretches of golden sand and much more.
