The cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard and features all the facilities you would expect from a modern holiday cottage. It is a pet friendly property allowing 2 dogs free of charge, sleeping 2 in comfort and has off street parking for one car.
Upper Largo is dominated by Largo Law, the highest hill in the region and the cottage benefits from great views of Largo Law from its fully enclosed rear garden. Access to the path up Largo Law is yards away from the front door for those who have the stamina to climb to the top in order to take in the great views of East Fife, the Firth of Forth and the Lothians. The village itself has a restaurant, a short walk from the cottage, and is steeped in history with the historic church being the focal point of the village. Many walks radiate from the village and the beach at Lower Largo, Robinson Crusoe’s birthplace, is a 20-minute walk away via a number of local footpaths which also give access to the Fife Coastal Path.
The local area is noted for its wide sandy beaches interspersed by rocky headlands, the depth of its history, ranging from Falkland Palace, a favourite of Mary Queen of Scots, to the Secret Bunker which highlights the part played by Fife during the cold war and the breadth of its culinary and produce offerings with Michelin starred restaurants complemented by award winning fish and chip shops as well as numerous farm shops and farmers markets showcasing the best produce Fife and Scotland has to offer. The owners look forward to welcoming you to Aultnagar where they will do everything they can to ensure you have a wonderful stay in Fife. Beach 1 mile. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 215 yards.
