Direct access to paths adjacent to the loch. Nearby, there are the lovely border towns of Kelso, 7 miles, Jedburgh, 14 miles, and Melrose, 23 miles. These attractive towns are well worth exploring with many good eating places, art and craft galleries, local food producers and ancient abbeys. There are many local castles and country houses to visit, along with the Northumbrian coast, Holy Island and the Farne Islands, which can all be easily enjoyed within a day.
