The surrounding area offers a tremendous amount to occupy guests including golf, sailing, horse riding and cycling (both road and mountain bikes as this is the famous 7Stanes country!), along with many other adventurous activities. For those with young children, there are many great days out on the doorstep. If arts and culture are a passion, a quick glance at the surroundings will see exactly why the region has inspired so many artists, writers and craftsmen, from the artists’ town of Kirkcudbright, to the region’s infamous Spring Fling festival, amongst many other events that take place all year round.
