The kitchen has everything needed for a nice meal and opens to a conservatory with heated floor and French doors leading to a private grotto garden. Upstairs, the main bedroom features a vaulted ceiling, a king-size bed, and exposed timbers, while a second bedroom with a single bed is ideal for a child. The family bathroom has a shower.
The beautifully landscaped, south-facing garden includes a York stone terrace, flower beds, and a gravel path to parking for one small car. After a restful start to your day, enjoy a relaxed walk down Gravel Hill into town, just a 5-minute stroll away. There, you’ll find a charming array of cafes, pubs, restaurants, and boutique shops. Continue your exploration by heading to the river for a delightful walk alongside river barges, parks, and picturesque views. Don’t miss the ‘River and Rowing Museum’ located right on the River Walk. From there, proceed to Marsh Lock at the Weir to observe the fascinating process of boats navigating the Thames.
Guests might enjoy the numerous annual events in Henley, including the Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Festival, Thames Traditional Boat Festival, Henley in Bloom, Henley Swim Festival, Rewind Festival, Henley Farm and Country Show, and Henley Christmas Festival, among others! Explore the nearby Chiltern Hills for hiking, biking, and pub or tea walks in this UK “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.” Visit The Henley Distillery or one of Henley’s three wine vineyards for tours and tastings. Enjoy plays, concerts, and comedy at Kenton Theatre or The Mill at Sonning Dinner Theatre.
