A 10-minute drive away is the historic market town of Pembroke, famous for being the birthplace of Henry VIII and steeped in history. It has a grand castle which is worth a visit, and the town offers an array of coffee shops and art and craft shops to visit, along with restaurants specialising in fresh grown local produce.
Beats Cottage is ideal for exploring Pembrokeshire. Standing detached, it is full of character with a spacious, light and airy, open-plan kitchen, dining and living room complete with beams, slate flooring and exposed stone walls along with an upstairs ’crog lofft’ which houses the twin bedroom. After a busy day sightseeing, enjoy al fresco dining with a barbecue whilst relaxing on your own patio and taking in the fresh country air.
A 35-minute drive away is the coastal resort of Tenby surrounded by medieval walls, built to fortify the town. Archways through the wall lead into the town with cobbled streets which in turn lead down to the beautiful harbour and award-winning beach. The golden sandy beach and turquoise waters are ideal for sunbathing, swimming, fishing and kayaking and makes a great day out. Further along the coastline is Saundersfoot with its scenic harbour where you can enjoy fresh line caught fish with your chips, on the harbour walls whilst watching the boats coming and going. Folly Farm Zoo, Heatherton World of Adventure and Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, are all within 40 minutes’ drive and perfect for all your family to enjoy. Beach 9 miles.
