Benar Bach, which in English means ’Little Benar’, is a Grade II* listed cottage and was built as an annexe to the delightful 16th-century farmhouse. The cottage is beautifully secluded and has a lovely private outside terrace and lawn, adjacent to a babbling stream with plenty of wildlife. Set in the peaceful Machno Valley between Penmachno and Betws-y-Coed, it provides a romantic retreat for two people. There are walks straight from the door, with Gwydyr Forest just waiting to be explored. The cottage has direct off-road access to the Penmachno Mountain Bike Trails with the Marin Bike Trail also nearby. The pretty village of Betws-y-Coed, is 3 miles away and has individual shops and a range of cafés, hotels and eateries, together with a host of forest adventures at Zip World Fforest – not for the faint hearted! Horse riding nearby. Yr Wyddfa (formerly Snowdon), the tallest mountain in Wales, just 25 minutes away. There is also a village pub and shop within walking distance in Penmachno, plus countless castles in the vicinity to explore. Beach 20 miles. Shop and pub serving food 1 mile.
