Welcome to Bows Pad, a two-bedroom wooden chalet on a small family-run holiday park at Gwithian Sands Chalets in Hayle, with access to the beach and surrounded by sand dunes. The property is ideal for families and couples sleeping up to four in two bedrooms. The living area is open plan with a balcony and decking wrapping around. There is one double bedroom, and the second room has two single beds. There is also a camp bed suitable for a child. Outside is a decked balcony ideal for your morning coffee and evening glass of your favourite tipple! The chalet has everything you would need for your stay, and there is an on-site coin-operated laundry and drying room. There is so much to do when you are here, it is approximately only a 15 walk to the 5 miles of golden sand stretching along the east coast of St Ives beach which is a water sports haven with several surf schools. At low tide huge rock pools appear, perfect for little ones to paddle. The Towans has amazing views of Godrevy Headland and lighthouse an ideal location to watch the sunset. There is a shop on site for you to stock up on last-minute essentials, the two pubs are within a mile of the site.
The nearest town is Hayle, 2½ miles away, where you’ll find pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops, and it is also home to Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary and Jungle Barn, a fun day out for all the family if you want a day off from the beach! For those interested in wildlife there is an abundance of birds to see when you walk along the coastal path or walk along the Hayle Estuary managed by the RSPB.
There are excellent public transport links to St Ives, leave the car behind and enjoy a leisurely journey by bus or train without the stress of looking for a parking space. If you want to venture further afield, visit Penzance, Marazion and St Michaels Mount all within a 10-mile radius.
