The cottage offers comfortable furnishings and good use of space. The living room is a perfect place to relax after a day exploring with comfortable sofas, a large TV and a wood burner to get warm and cosy in front of. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped and has a second wood burner should you wish to gather around the table while making your plans. On the first floor is a kingsize bedroom complete with TV and a second bedroom with bunk beds. On the second floor is a further kingsize bedroom with vaulted ceiling and a Velux window offering complete peace and quiet. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed patio, a perfect little spot to sit with a morning coffee or a glass of wine as the sun goes down.

Long Preston has a post office and general store, a church and a choice of two pubs, both within a short stroll and offering local ales and good food. The village is within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is surrounded by scenic countryside with immediate access to a variety of walks. The area is ever popular for its Three Peaks challenge. The area provides outstanding opportunities for cycling and mountain biking, and the property has a bike store for up to six bikes.

Out and about there is an abundance of things to see and do. A short drive is the market town of Settle with a wide range of shops and you can also take a trip on the Settle-Carlisle Railway line which crosses some of the most outstandingly beautiful, upland scenery. Experience the Ribblehead Viaduct, with services running to Leeds in the south and Morecombe on the coast. Visit Ingleborough Caves, the Ingleton waterfall trail or the market town of Skipton, with its spectacular castle, numerous attractions, shopping, heritage, walking and food and drink. Meander along the canal towpath and watch the longboats pass by. With the Dales and the Lakes both within easy driving distance, this cottage makes a superb holiday destination at any time of the year. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
