Bridge House is a traditional stone built cottage in the very centre of the delightful mountain village of Threlkeld. Turn left by its side and you are immediately on the footpath to Blencathra, the dramatic mountain that dominates the village. Opposite is the churchyard and views towards Clough Head in the distance. Down the village road a few yards are two pubs, one with a renowned restaurant and both serving food. A regular hourly bus service stops opposite the pub and takes you to Keswick, 4 miles away, a bustling market town on the shores of Derwentwater. The cottage has been lovingly renovated to highlight many original features including oak beams and sash windows. The furnishing and fittings combine both character and comfort. In the surprisingly spacious living and dining area there is seating and a slate fireplace for cosy evenings. On sunny days you can sit in the private area in front of the cottage to take in the views. The cottage comes equipped with a TV and DVD player as well as superfast fibre broadband. Light refreshments are available most days and various activities and events take place in Threlkeld Village Hall.
