On the doorstep is Combe Martin’s very own Wildlife & Dinosaur Park, where in the evenings you might hear the wolves howl, and the surrounding area boasts other attractions such as Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Watermouth Bay and the South West Coast Path, the lovely Fuchsia Valley, Watermouth Castle and Theme Park, and don’t forget the nearby town of Ilfracombe with its very own harbour and port which dates back to at least the 12th Century with quality ice cream, fish & chip and various craft shops, not forgetting Damien Hirst’s Verity statue which is a must see.
