A wider range of amenities can be found in the historic market town of Ruthin which is just 3 miles away. Dating back to 13th century, Ruthin has several interesting buildings which include an old jail, 13th century church and castle. Alternatively Mold is 12 miles and Wrexham 13 miles. Located in the Clwydian Mountain Range which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a great base for those who love the great outdoors. There are lots of lovely walks in the area including a circular walk from the village which links to the Offa’s Dyke trail and takes in views over the vale of Clwyd.
