Butterfield Cottage is a quaint property located in this popular village of Tideswell. It stands out from the rest with its pink finish and easy self-catering accommodation, very much the perfect base for walkers and cyclists. Peacefully set on the edge of the village, it is a 5-minute stroll to the village centre. St Johns Church, known as the cathedral of the Peak is well worth a visit.
As you arrive step into the house to be greeted by the warm and cosy sitting room, which has comfortable seating and warming wood burner. This room is open plan with a dining area which will comfortably seat up to six guests. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you should need for cooking a holiday feast. Upstairs are three bedrooms; all bedrooms have been finished with high quality linen and the twin bedroom comes with an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor which has a shower over bath. Outside you have the front patio with garden furniture so you can enjoy the beautiful views across , but there is also a rear garden which has a bench, washing line and a sheltered area where you can store bikes. From the back garden there is a gate leading onto the playground and the car park.
The village of Tideswell offers so much to holiday makers, not only are you spoilt for choice in walks and trails such as the High Peak, Monsal Trail and Chatsworth but there is a great selection of different places to eat, a local Co-op for any groceries you may require plus farm shops, restaurants, cafés, pubs and chip shops. This village really does have it all and you will get a true Peak District village atmosphere when staying here. Not far from Tideswell is the nearest town of Buxton which has its famous opera house where you can book tickets to a show or have a walk around the Pavillion Gardens. The town of Bakewell is known for its puddings and tarts, so pick up a sweet treat and take a gentle stroll down the River Derwent. Matlock has views of Riber Castle and a lovely park which is great for entertaining children.
