There is a safe life-guarded sandy beach and children’s play area and rock pooling further down the beach. The surfers come out when the water is right and there are body boards in the house. The lovely linked villages of Seaton and Downderry feature restaurants, pubs, beach cafe, coffee shop and a small shop all within a short walk. Ramblers will enjoy the scenic coastal footpath leading to the charming fishing ports and villages with quays, Looe is within easy reach as is Porwrinkle. For a gentle walk take the bus to Hessenford and stroll along the river through the beautiful valley and woodland heading back towards Seaton. By car you can easily access the Eden project and many coastal villages like Kingsand and Cawsand, where you can take a ferry to Plymouth for the day. Scenic Polperro is an enchanting village with quaint, traffic-free lanes and a fishing harbour surrounded with traditional inns and fisherman’s cottages.
