The comfortable living room has a sofa to snuggle up on and relax with a box set on the Smart TV and a glass of wine after a day out exploring, while the dining room is the perfect spot for a meal at any time of day, open the French doors and enjoy an almost al fresco breakfast experience! Down three steps you find the well-equipped kitchen that has everything you could need to prepare the lightest meal to a feast for dinner, you could even bake a cake if the fancy took you. Head upstairs to the bedroom with its vaulted ceilings, statement wallpaper and double bed, there is plenty of storage here for all your belongings. Outside, you have a courtyard garden which is fully enclosed, allowing your four-legged family members to have some fresh air while you sit and enjoy the sunshine.
The village is ideally situated for those wanting to visit Haynes Motor Museum, The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, Glastonbury and its Tor, the wildlife park at Cricket St Thomas, Montacute House and Stonehenge along with other attractions. Bath, Exeter and Bristol are a short drive away as is the interesting town of Sherborne with its independent shops, a castle and an abbey.
Queen Camel itself has a good number of walks close by and is about an hour’s drive from the wonderful Jurassic Coast and the holiday town of Weymouth. Bath and West Showground are around a 20-minute drive away and there are many events held there throughout the year. For those keen on horse racing Salisbury Racecourse is around 50-minutes away. Queen Camel itself has a pub which serves food, a very useful shop with post office and a therapy centre.
