The village shop is just a few minutes’ away. Dunstaffnage Marina is a few minutes in the opposite direction, a little further along, you’ll find Poppies Restaurant Garden Centre. The Ocean Explorer Centre, part of the Scottish Association for Marine Science, is located on the opposite shoreline, as well as the historic Dunstaffnage Castle, one of Scotland’s oldest stone castles dating back to the 1200s which boasts a rich history of battles and royal intrigue, from the sieges of Robert the Bruce to the haunting tales of the "Green Lady." The castle’s chapel is steeped in a dramatic true tale which adds to the allure of this historic site.
