Gracies Cottage is a beautifully presented cottage for two guests set in the countryside with friendly local amenities and excellent, world-famous attractions to help make your stay a memorable one. Access to the cottage is via a private drive. Upon entering you will find a small lobby area, with the light and airy open living space off to the left. In this area you will find an attractive sofa and armchair where you can spread out and watch your favourite TV shows. There is a dining table and seating for two, plus a compact kitchen area. The spacious bedroom has a comfortable kingsize bed with a large mirrored wardrobe and there is a lovely contemporary bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Outside the property there is a shared paved area with bench-style seating; there is also a lovely tea room on site, serving food and drink everyday, and a complimentary pass to Beamish, the open air museum, which is not to be missed. There is also a large open woodland assured picnic area right next door which is perfect for some al-fresco dining, along with a selection of country walking and cycling trails nearby. You can walk down to Causey Arch, the world’s oldest single-arch bridge and even take a trip on the oldest existing steam train in the world at the local Tanfield railway. The owner also offers a ride on the steam train on one of the oldest railways!
