Moving through the property into the open-plan kitchen/dining area you get to see more of the cottage’s character and also a great view of the large garden area and surrounding hills. The village itself is equidistant between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere so is ideally positioned for exploring these famous waters and also in a great place to visit popular towns such as Coniston, Ambleside, Hawkshead and Bowness to mention a few.
For the adventurous amongst you, Grizedale forest park offers mountain bike hire and trails or the tree-top adventures of Go ape, along with a visitor centre and the interesting unique sculptures dotted around the forest, there are Segways, and kids play areas. The south lakes area has something for everyone whether you love the fine dining of Michelin-starred restaurants, escape rooms, stately homes and gardens, water sports, and museums or simply enjoying climbing, walking or cycling against the backdrop of some of the best scenery on the planet, you’ll keep coming back for more for years to come.
