This double fronted, stone built cottage is tucked away in the small picture postcard village of Burnsall with its wide village green leading down to the meandering River Wharfe, ideal for picnics and paddling. It is located just a stone’s throw from the local pub which dates back to the 16th century and is known for its good food, real ales and fine wines. For fine dining try the local restaurant which has been awarded two AA rosettes, and is within strolling distance. Although this a non-pet property, the owner does occasionally visit the property with her own dog.

This is walking country, with both challenging hill walking and more leisurely walking along the river. You can always take the bus to Grassington and walk back to the village alongside the river, enjoying some spectacular scenery along the way and even try the Hebden supension footbridge or the stepping stones.

Being ’Tour de France’ country, there is plenty for the most ardent cyclist, both on and off road. The bustling market town of Skipton is just 10 miles away where you will find a wide selection of shops, a street market, pubs and restaurants together with a Norman castle, barge trips along the canal, an indoor swimming pool and golf course. For shopaholics, Harrogate with both high street and high end fashion, is about half an hour’s drive. The lively village of Grassington, with its summer arts festival which plays host to famous musicians, singers, comedians, poets and general entertainers, is just over 3 miles away, and in winter holds the Dickensian Festival to get you in the Christmas spirit. There is literally something to do for everyone. Shops 3 miles, pub 150 yards, restaurant 200 yards.
