This coastal accommodation is only a few minutes’ walk from Hamworthy beach and park, where you can take a stroll on the shingle beach or relax in the green space. Just a 10-minute walk will take you to Poole quay and the historic harbour town itself, with its many shops, restaurants, museums, and harbour attractions. Poole harbour is Europe’s largest natural harbour, so definitely a sight worth seeing.
Golden sandy beaches are plentiful in Dorset, Sandbanks being world famous, as are opportunities to take boat trips to the surrounding islands, enjoy water sports or sample local seafood produce, all of which are highly recommend adding to your itinerary. Bournemouth, with its pavilion theatre, is also well worth a day out during your time in the area, and for the historians, Corfe Castle is a must see. You can even catch the steam train from the castle ruins and take a ride on The Swanage Railway. Choices are endless in this location.
