Cragganmore Barn is a stunning, architecturally designed barn conversion set in a beautiful Scottish Highlands location. The owners have created this masterpiece of a holiday home themselves and really have done justice to the originally croft buildings that this conversion has sprung from. The old stones that made up the original barns have been taken apart, cleaned and built back up to look resplendent under the awesome black corrugated roof. Cragganmore Barn looks incredible and as you turn the corner and see it for the first time you’ll be so glad that you booked it for your holiday home!
The setting for this amazing barn conversion makes the property even more special on top of its design and aesthetic. Situated up on a hill ridge near to the village of Kiltarlity, Cragganmore is set in one of the most beautiful spots to be found in the Highlands. Step outside of the property and you can see numerous Munros and grand forests spilling down into different glens and straths. It’s a view that’s good for the soul. Wander up the ridge a little more, on land owned by the owner of Cragganmore and you’ll reach the summit which delivers even better views because they become panoramic. A little more on the views and the setting is that when night falls, especially in the winter, this spot becomes even more special. There’s no light pollution, so the Northern Lights are often seen and stargazing is out of this world (we excuse the pun!).
As if the exterior look and the setting wasn’t enough, stepping into Cragganmore you’re even happier with the look and feel. Beautifully finished with underfloor heating throughout, the interior is cleverly light and contrasting with the stone and black corrugated exterior. You enter into the open-plan living/dining/kitchen and you’ll love spending time in this great room. There’s a double bedroom with en-suite toilet off of the open-plan space. And then beyond the open-plan space towards the rear of the property is a large double bedroom and the fantastic bathroom. It’s spacious, surprisingly light for a heritage barn conversion, and incredibly private considering it is in fact semi-detached. The courtyard garden out the back is for private use and it has a cleverly designed pond as well as really nice seating areas. Holiday homes don’t get much better than this. And to be honest, the setting, the design in and out, put it right up at the top. Book it now, trust us.
The last word is that you’re in the most amazing, rural setting with multiple mountain views, snow covered for a large part of the year. However, you’re only several minutes from a village and town, and Inverness is only 25 minutes away. You’re away from it all but still connected at Cragganmore Barn. The NC500 is also only several minutes away so you can off adventuring and exploring the Highlands at will in no time at all.
Cragganmore Barn (ref UK38354) can be booked together with Mountain View Beauly to accommodate up to 7 guests.
