Just perfect for a family and couples to relax and spend time together in this most picturesque village in the East Neuk of Fife.
From Crail House you are just minutes’ walk to the old fishing harbour and sandy beach. In the summer months, fresh lobster and crabs are cooked and you can sit by the harbour side and enjoy your lunch. Crail is a lovely village to explore with historic buildings, ancient alleyways and wynds. There is also a park and children’s play area as well as a good selection of places to eat, tea rooms, local shops and galleries.
If you enjoy walking, the Fife Coastal Path which journeys through Crail, takes you in either direction to secluded coves and sandy beaches, all with spectacular coastal views over the North Sea and Firth of Forth. For days out, Cambo Gardens are only 3 miles away and have something for all to enjoy. The beautiful gardens are an all year round attraction with a tasting garden, sensory garden and the most amazing display of snowdrops in the spring. The café uses their own produce to provide tasty meals and snacks and there are lots of interesting buildings and walks in the grounds.
St Andrews is a mere 20 minutes’ drive along the coast and you can fill your day easily as there are visitor attractions including the Sea Life Centre, museums and historic buildings.
