Dalroddie is located in the heart of historic Banffshire, the home of Malt Whisky and with easy access to beautiful beaches of the Moray Coast and to the remote Cairngorm Mountains. Dalroddie is accessed from the public road and onto an Estate track. The surrounding land is part of the Drummuir Estate, and from the front door of Dalroddie there are walking routes to explore, using a network of local paths or even on to the Isla Way which takes you to Keith or Dufftown.
The local town of Dufftown has a fantastic range of activities from golf, walking in the local hills such as the Convals or Ben Rinnes or long distance footpaths (Speyside Way) or visiting the many malt whisky distilleries - Glenfiddich or Balvenie amongst the most popular. There is a range of shops for all the essentials you might need during your stay. Within easy reach, there is the opportunity to visit the Moray coast, taking boat trips to watch dolphins or exploring endless sandy beaches or Roseisle, Lossiemouth, Cullen or Sanded. And a trip to this area wouldn’t be complete without a trip to a castle or two - the stunning ruins of Auchindoun are 8 miles, the family owned Ballindalloch Castle and the Royal Family’s summer retreat of Balmoral Castle is an hour and 15 minutes. Of course, you can sit in the garden and enjoy the local scenery and wildlife!
