This spacious, detached cottage is situated in the scattered hamlet of Leurbost, making it an ideal base for exploring the Outer Hebrides. Boasting some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise waters in the UK, the spectacular machair runs parallel to many of the beaches on the west side of the islands. The machair is a real haven for wildlife, such as the elusive corncrake with hen harriers, seals, otters and golden eagles also regularly spotted. During the summer months whales and basking sharks visit and the Machair becomes an amazing shimmering mass of colour, peppered with an assorted variety of wildflowers including rare orchids. It is also a great place to spot dolphins.
