This superb cottage is part of an old silk mill situated in a lovely rural setting by the river on the western edge of the Peak District. The space on the ground floor is an open plan, social and light area, with a well-equipped kitchen, living area with a wood burner and a dining area. There is a double bedroom located on the ground floor and a shower room. On the first floor is the second bedroom which is also a double bedroom and has an en-suite. There is a mezzanine that is open on the first floor of the property where you can sit on the sofa or bean bags and enjoy some quiet time reading or playing games.
Langley is a quiet village close to Macclesfield, with picturesque rows of mill worker’s cottages surrounded by spectacular countryside. Several small reservoirs, attractive woodland and ancient packhorse routes characterise the area. With good walks in Macclesfield Forest, up the peak of Shuttlingsloe and across to Tegg’s Nose Country Park. This is also a convenient place to stay to explore the attractions of the northwest - Jodrell Bank Observatory, the vibrant cities of Manchester, Chester, and Liverpool. Historic houses such as Gawsworth Hall (with its summer open air theatre), Little Moreton Hall and Styal Mill.
