Perfect for couples or those with children, Dove Cottage is a surprisingly large converted barn, adjoining the friendly owners’ home. Downstairs there is a spacious bedroom with a kingsize bed, whilst upstairs under the vaulted ceiling, is a cosy twin bedroom. Set in a really peaceful rural spot, off the beaten track with walks into the nearby wood on the doorstep. It is midway between the little town of Callington and the historic town of Launceston which boasts a variety of independent shops and cafés. Dove Cottage is almost central between the north and south coasts, making exploring the whole of Cornwall really accessible. The popular resort of Bude on the north coast and the fishing port of Looe on the south coast are within an hours drive.
The friendly owners who live next door are pleased to welcome you to their hidden hideaway, a super location for holidays. The cottage has a small south-facing patio style garden with a sitting-out area and of course the essential Wi-Fi. Close by there is a fantastic farm shop with café and restaurant and a very popular local gastro pub is only a mile away. Both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are within a half hour drive away for exploring the wild ruggedness, wild ponies and beautiful scenery. At the riverside village of Calstock you can hire canoes and bikes and take a trip along the river, or catch the train across the border into Devon and visit Plymouth for a day sightseeing on the Hoe. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
