Offering a rural experience, Drumble Lodge can be found at the end of a winding country lane on a working farm amidst beautiful Cheshire countryside. The location is peaceful and serene, where you can enjoy the sounds of bird song throughout the day and the distinctive calls of owls at night. The farm on which the lodge stands has been registered as a wedding venue and will accommodate smaller weddings. Pet sheep and goats that meander around the paddock next to the lodge, and in the distance, you’ll see cows grazing in the meadow. Despite the rural setting, the property has Sky Link Wi-Fi with 200 megabites per second.
A selection of outdoor seating areas are available where you can relax, unwind and once the sun sets gaze at the stars beyond through the telescope provided. A traditional dog friendly, food serving pub is a mere 10-minute walk, and ample footpaths radiate from the area just waiting to be explored. The pretty market town of Congleton can be reached in around 10 minutes and is home to ample amenities including a selection of supermarkets and shops together with many bars and restaurants.
The National Trusts Biddulph Grange Country Park and Little Moreton Hall are also accessible in around a 10-minute drive. You can take a waterside stroll along the River Dane, cycle the tranquil traffic free Biddulph Valley Way, or walk to the famous atmospheric ruins of Mow Cop Castle and lesser-known Old Man of Mow.
The Peak District National Park is around a 30-minute drive and the city of Manchester can be reached in under an hour on a direct train from Congleton station. For those with children Delamere Forest, Manley Mere and Britain’s premier theme park Alton Towers can be reached in around 45 minutes and then finally the city of Chester, Blue Planet Aquarium and Chester Zoo in around an hour.
