Drumlanrig Castle – Slatehouse Cottage is located just off the impressive approach to Drumlanrig Castle, approx. ½ a mile away from the Castle itself.
As you arrive you will immediately enjoy the stunning scenery, peace and quiet! Conveniently, there is parking just outside with further parking on the left hand side as you approach. And once you get inside Drumlanrig Castle – Slatehouse Cottage it oozes style and sophistication and is beautifully furnished throughout making your stay here on the Estate a truly memorable one.
As you enter there is a handy entrance porch filled with light and with plenty of space for muddy boots and coats after a day exploring the estate or wider Dumfries & Galloway. The open plan living/dining/kitchen room is the perfect hub for guests to enjoy a glass of wine, a board game or a cosy movie night on the large 55 inch smart TV with the wood burner blazing.The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave and kettle.
The property has four bedrooms. The master has a king size bed and en-suite shower room. There are two further doubles and another bedroom which can be either a king size bed or two singles. There is a family bathroom with modern freestanding bath and separate shower, and a further separate toilet.
Outside you will find an enclosed garden with modern patio and views across the Nith Valley, as well as a private hot tub. The property is a short walk from Statehouse Loch which has stunning views of the Castle and where fishing is available by separate negotiation.
