This well presented character property built in the 1750s, formerly a weaver’s cottage, is set back from the village road, conveniently located close to the local shop and community pub. Bamford has a great community feel, this friendly village is ideal for couples or families who want to enjoy scenic walks and sightseeing in this area.
Easter Cottage is an end-terrace property set over three levels and has been completely redecorated in 2021, accessed via a gently sloping gravel path. The cosy living/dining room has beams and a wood burner, and leads to a well equipped kitchen with patio doors leading to an enclosed patio garden. The bedrooms are set over the first and second floor, both with en-suites.
Ladybower Reservoir is only a 5-minute drive away or a half an hour walk, and the nearby village of Hathersage boasts a unique seasonal open-air swimming pool. Hope Valley and the fantastic honeypot village of Castleton are around a 10-minute drive away and beautiful Edale, which is home to the start and finish of the Pennine Way, is just 20 minutes’ away. Cycle hire, ranger services and refreshments are available at the visitor complex in the Upper Derwent Visitor Centre and Derwent Dam, a 10-minute drive away. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
