Situated in a quiet lane and enjoying stunning views across Loch Carron, Elm Bank is a traditional detached stone cottage set in its own delightful country gardens. This attractive cottage is beautifully presented throughout. The pretty living room has wood effect floors with lovely rugs, and a welcoming wood burner. There is a separate dining room with comfortable seating. The three bedrooms on the first floor are bright and cosy and all rooms have superb views across to the sea loch and the surrounding hills. The gardens are a real feature of the cottage, with masses of flowering shrubs and the views from the top of the grassy slope are simply stunning.
Lochcarron village is set right on the shores of the loch, surrounded by the spectacular hills and mountains of Wester Ross. There are a number of pubs, cafés and shops here, as well as a golf course open to visitors. The area is also a haven for wildlife. Otters and seals can be seen along the shore-line and dolphins have been spotted in the bay. There are some superb drives in this part of the Highlands. A trip to Applecross via the highest pass in Britain is a must. Known as the ’Pass of the Cattle’ and rising to over 2,000 feet, it affords amazing views across the Minch to the isles of Raasay and Skye. A paradise for lovers of the great outdoors, there are unlimited sporting opportunities: climbing, hill-walking, fishing, canoeing, diving, sailing and cycling are all local pastimes.
