Please note: There is an unfenced stream in the garden.
Elodie Yurt is a unique 20ft solid ash framed glamping unit set within its own grounds near the village of Bishopsteignton in South Devon. Perfectly suited to a couple looking for a relaxing retreat, the yurt is furnished with a wood burner, fridge, kingsize bed with a sunburst headboard, an external private shower room and a charcoal barbecue. The accommodation also has electric power and lighting, wardrobe storage, and comfortable seating. This unique self-catering property is flanked by decorations from the set of the Oscar-winning Russell Crowe film ‘Gladiator’ and the structure was made from one large ash tree from a local estate with wool-lined latticework. The yurt is located within its own grounds separate from the main house with its own locked gated access.
The village of Bishopsteignton is located nearby just a couple of minutes’ drive away. A charming village with a shop where you can fill up on necessities, the choice of three pubs and there are other eateries and attractions in surrounding towns and villages. Teignmouth is a picturesque coastal town famed for its magnificent sandy beaches, arts district, and stately pier and it is also home to the Shaldon Wildlife Trust, which is an excellent site to visit for wildlife lovers. Exeter is an easily accessible medieval city best known for its beautiful Cathedral and the nearby Dartmoor National Park also offers a multitude of walking and cycling options.
For the ramblers, you can follow the South West Coast Path in two directions to discover breathtaking coastline scenery. Walk along the sea wall from Teignmouth to the resort of Dawlish Warren which has a sandy beach with the Exe estuary on one side and the sea on the other, attractions, various local facilities and a wonderful nature reserve to enjoy.
