This beautiful Grade II listed stone cottage can be found on the edge of the famous village of Eyam, right in the heart of the ever popular Hope Valley and is surrounded by 25 acres of fields, gardens and parkland all for guest use. Dating back to 1820, Eyam View Cottage is set in a pretty courtyard and has been furnished to a high standard throughout. Beautiful thick curtains dress windows, luxurious bedding adorns beds, and the cosy living room is set around a magnificent open fire, perfect to settle down next to after a day spent in the open countryside walking, cycling, pony trekking, rock climbing or even hang gliding.
Fascinating Eyam is most famous as the ‘Plague Village’ and to this day information boards are strategically placed around the village retelling the story, together with craft workshops, tea rooms and not forgetting the fabulous historical Eyam Hall. Centrally located, just 15 minutes north of the hugely popular tourist town of Bakewell and 15 minutes south of the Peaks most famous village Castleton, its position within the Peak District itself makes it an ideal base. Chatsworth Estate and the spa town of Buxton can be easily reached within 20 minutes and the larger towns and cities of Chesterfield and Sheffield with their many shops, restaurants and theatres are within half an hour. There is horse riding and golf locally.
