Felicity House is in an enviable position overlooking the village of Staithes with the Cleveland Way trail running past the doorstep. The cottage has lots of original features and has been renovated by the present owners to a very good standard. Some of the rooms have lovely sea views and the living room has a cosy wood burner to curl up in front of after a long walk along the rugged coastline.

Staithes is within the North York Moors National Park so stunning scenery and traditional Yorkshire villages are in abundance. The village has a good local pub serving food, as well as a shop for essentials. Staithes is a great place for fossil hunting and in the summer you see many children enjoying searching the rock pools and crevices for these fossils. The village is like stepping back in time with its cobbled streets and quaint, quirky cottages that lead down to the harbour where you can sit and enjoy a drink with the locals at the pub. Staithes has now become a great artists retreat with an excellent art festival held every year.

The property is perfect for those walkers amongst you as you can walk along the clifftops following the trail to Whitby and further on the Robin Hood’s Bay and Ravenscar. The town of Whitby is just 8 miles away and is one of the most visited fishing towns on the coast, famous for the abbey being the inspiration to Bram Stoker’s book ’Dracula’. Felicity House is a great base to see the best that Yorkshire has to offer. Beach 200 yards. Shop and restaurant 400 yards, pub 200 yards.
Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
