Welcome to Carn Haven, a delightful Victorian house comfortably sleeping six in three bedrooms, on the outskirts of Redruth town, near Fairfield Park. Upstairs are three bedrooms, downstairs is the large open plan living/dining area, a conservatory leading to the garden, and a kitchen leading to the downstairs bathroom. The property offers a hotel boutique finish, with the benefit of feeling like a home from home, with everything that you would expect to make your stay comfortable. The garden has several seating areas and has a mix of patio and lawn, ideal for al fresco dining during the day, and great for sitting out in an evening watching the incredible skies.
Redruth town is only 0.5 miles away, there is a selection of pubs, cafes, and restaurants as well as local shops and a supermarket. This is an ideal base as within 5 miles are two family beaches, Porthtowan and Portreath, great for water sports and ideal for children. If you like cycling there are fantastic cycle routes to choose from, follow the old engine houses at south Crofty, cycle next to the river Fal, head towards Portscatho, past Trelissick Garden, to Helston and Poldark mine before heading back to the start. The area is steeped in mining heritage, walk along The Flat Lode, climb Carn Brea visit Heartlands Cornish visitor attraction, everywhere you go you will see remnants of history, especially in Redruth town.
If you prefer to walk the choice would be coastal or countryside or try one of the many circular walks that cover both, a pub is usually featured along the route for essential refreshment. If you have young children, they will love Tehidy Woods, there are over 9 miles of paths and over 250 acres of woods and lakes to explore, this mystical area is adjacent to Tehidy golf course, so bring your clubs if you want a round. There is always plenty to see and do locally and if you want to venture further the location is ideal for the A30, travel to the quaint city of Truro, visit St Agnes or Newquay, or travel south to Helston, Porthleven and the Lizard.
