Foal Barn Cottages - The Smithy

A cosy cottage, on arrival we had been left milk, tea ,coffee, biscuits a some homemade lemon drizzle cake which was lovely. A nice cuppa and cake ,just what we needed after our journey. Every thing you need for a lovely break.

Our stay was ok but the living room was tiny with a fridge and free standing freezer in which was quite noisy and the electric fire was annoying when trying to watch TV at night ,the main bedroom was a good size and pleasant enough ,as was the small bedroom ,my main gripe is with living room, the TV needs to be on the wall not on a cabinet which was a foot or more from the wall with a window ,just wasting space , not enough cupboard room for the food we brought with us and if it's a cottage for three people why do we have a cupboard full of glasses (approx 20 ) the shower is not a power shower and has no steam extraction , coming in from a walk wet through your straight into the living room it could do with a good porch or something .bootrack, way too small ,, not really dog friendly I would point out ,,the roof support in the main bedroom is dangerous if you get up to Go to the toilet in the night as it's smack bang in front of the bed ,oven needs replacing fan makes an incredible noise .I have given a true and honest opinion and not criticism ,
