This former village school house built in 1857 and now converted into this semi-detached holiday cottage. It offers two bedrooms: a master double bedroom and a small single room with a single bed suitable for a child under 8 years old. The property is located on the edge of the Peak Forest village and overlooks unspoilt countryside with walks from the doorstep. Until the 18th century Peak Forest was known as a local "Gretna Green" as the local vicar had the freedom to conduct marriage ceremonies. One of the deepest peak potholes, Eldon Hole lies close by and 4 miles away is Castleton village. Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Matlock Bath, with cable car, are all nearby. Golf and horse riding within 5 miles. Shop and restaurant 4 miles, pub 1 mile.
