Situated in the historic waterfront area of St Mawes, Fountain House is a luxurious four-bedroom family holiday home with easy access to the beaches and village amenities and stunning sea views.
Making the most of the spectacular views, Fountain House offers reverse level living, with the sleeping accommodation on the ground floor and the living space on the first floor. Entering the property, you’re greeted with a spacious reception hall which provides access to two bedrooms, one a double, the second a twin. There is also a shower room and utility/boot room for coats, walking boots and sandy beach sandals. Rising to the first floor, you’ll find the bright, spacious living room with triple aspect windows that make the most of the sparkling sea views. The large family kitchen-dining area is located towards the rear of the property and is fitted with all the modern appliances and conveniences you need on the breakaway to Cornwall. The first-floor accommodation continues with another double bedroom and family bathroom and stairs which lead down to a twin bedroom, separate shower room and second living space which makes a great TV/games room for teenagers or young children. The outside space includes the sunny garden, which is arranged over several terraced areas to reach a superb seating and dining area which offers sea glimpses over the rooftops - the perfect spot for a sundowner after a day spent at the beach.
St Mawes sits on the tip of the Roseland Peninsula on the south Cornish coast and boasts some of the finest day sailing waters in the country. The village is an extremely popular holiday destination with family-friendly beaches, boutique hotels such as the Tresanton and the stunningly refurbished Idle Rocks and St Mawes Hotel, sailing club, a variety of restaurants, galleries and shopping for daily needs.
The Roseland Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a dramatic coastline, National Trust land and pretty harbour villages. An enduring holiday destination, the Hidden Hut Beach Cafe at nearby Porthcurnick Beach, has been described as the ’hottest destination in the county, if not the country’ and just beyond the beach at Rosevine is the Driftwood Hotel with its Michelin starred restaurant. The vibrant harbour town of Falmouth across the bay, reached from St Mawes by passenger ferry. The cathedral city of Truro, with a wide range of commercial facilities and direct rail link to London, is 19 miles away, and Newquay airport is less than an hour’s drive.
There is no parking space at this property. There is a large car park in St Mawes, where weekly parking passes can be purchased. There is side access to the property, which shares a right of way with the neighbouring property.
