Four Winds is a very cosy, semi-detached, single-storey bungalow, situated in the friendly and vibrant village of Drumnadrochit, on the shores of Loch Ness. Extremely well-equipped, this property is perfect for couples, friends or small families wishing to explore this fabulous area. Families with young children will also find a travel cot, highchair and baby bath at the property. For cyclists, there is a bike store with space for four bikes. Drumnadrochit has an array of amenities with several good places to eat, drink and shop. The famous ruins of Urquhart Castle are within easy walking distance, as is the Loch Ness Monster Exhibition. For outdoor enthusiasts, Glen Affric, Glen Urqhuart and The Great Glen Way are all close by and are popular areas with walkers, cyclists and kayakers.
Head for the Moray coastline to find unspoilt sandy beaches and a chance to spot the abundant wildlife. Take a boat trip to spot the dolphins, or visit the Spey Bay Dolphin Centre. Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and the Clava Cairns are all close by, or for the whisky lovers, the Strathspey whisky trail is a must. Take in the magnificent scenery with a drive along the North Coast 500, tour the beautiful Isle of Skye, or explore the Cairngorms National Park with a chance to spot a golden eagle or the elusive osprey. Heading south, Loch Ness joins the Caledonian Canal at Fort Augustus and slightly further afield you will find Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain which towers above Fort William. Inverness, the Highland capital, is a lovely city to explore, and is only 15 miles away from Drumnadrochit, and can be reached easily by bus or car. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
