Frieda and The Moon encapsulate all that the owners here wish to provide their guests. Inspired by Ted Hughes’ poem, Full Moon and Little Frieda, welcome to The Observatory, a magical retreat set within enchanting surroundings. Here couples can experience a very special and romantic break. Nestling within a peaceful, wooded paddock within the rolling hillsides offering superb views, this amazing tiny home has been crafted from copper and zinc, with six stained-glass portholes.
The professionally built interior has a blend of oak and brass with luxury throughout. A stunning bathroom, wood burner and fabulous kingsize bed which has a large skylight above, so the magnificent dark skies can be quite literally observed, along with galaxies, shooting stars and moonlight.
Outside, the ultimate in relaxation is a cedar hot tub on your private patio as you savour the views far down to the valley. Like nowhere else, The Observatory offers the perfect excuse to immerse yourself in its beauty and unique charm.
If you can tear yourself away from this spellbinding haven, the local area offers much to explore from the beauty of Looe, with its harbour and narrow streets to the picturesque village of Polperro, with its pretty cottages. Fowey, where a million shades of green meet the sea, has boutique shops, restaurants and pubs. Inland lies the energetic Golitha Falls, with its micro-climate and plethora of waterfalls, whilst the atmospheric Bodmin Moor is a short distance away, with its tors, standing stone structures and breathtaking views.
Frieda and the Moon also host incredibly popular ‘tiny weddings’ which can be arranged in the fabulous ‘Studio’, a licensed wedding venue, with its stunning stained-glass feature, The Ocean Window.
This property can be booked together with The Tabernacle (UK41753), an equally charming sanctuary, to accommodate up to 4 guests.
