Dwrgi is set within the owners farm, set deep within the rolling Ceredigion countryside and nestled on a beautiful, secluded paddock. The lodges on site are named after the wildlife which have been spotted from the lodges, Dwrgi is welsh for Otter, an unexpected visitor to the small river at the base of the site. A meandering brook runs along the boundary, where you can sit out on the terrace with a glass of fizz from the warm bubbling hot tub and gaze into the stars, or enjoy an early morning brew and a good book whilst listing to the babbling brook. Private and secluded on the outskirts of the small village of Cwrtnewydd and close to the market towns of Lampeter and Llandysul where you can discover boutique shops, cafés and a host of eateries.
Glanyrafon Lodge is cedar clad and set along a private lane within a picture postcard wooded valley. The lodge has been finished to an excellent standard throughout and offers the perfect base to discover this wonderful part of West Wales. It is also within 30 minutes’ of a selection of beaches along Cardigan Bay. Enjoy a cosy evening soaking in the hot tub with your family and friends, with birds tweeting and fresh air. This lodge enjoys a spacious open plan living space with lots of glass to let the light in and enjoy those beautiful views. French doors lead out onto your private terrace and hot tub. Both bedrooms have been lovingly finished to provide the perfect night’s sleep.
Guests are welcome to interact with the friendly animals on site, which include ponies, pigs and donkeys, to name a few. There is a small area for children to play within eye view of the lodges – along with the small wildlife pond on site, which provides hours of entertainment spotting the newts, tadpoles and frogs.
The coastal resort of New Quay is a 30-minute drive away with its truly stunning beaches and harbour, ideal for days out. Here you can enjoy fish and chips on the harbour walls and admire the turquoise blue waters, or take one of the many boat trips to spot the resident bottle nose dolphins. Aberaeron, famous for its multi-coloured Georgian houses and steeped in history, and Aberystwyth with beautiful boardwalk and cinemas, are both within easy reach. Beach 14 miles.
