Converted in 2020, this pair of stunning luxury barn conversions nestle on the edge of the owners arable farm, in the village of Ashdon. Benefitting from beautiful countryside views, The Dutch Barn (UK31568) and The Hayloft (UK31571) both offer spacious open plan living areas, large gardens and hot tubs for all the family to enjoy. Underfloor heating provides a cosy feeling in the cooler months, and there is a bluetooth sound system throughout with speakers in each room. A large patio and enclosed lawned garden give plenty of space for entertaining.
The local area offers some great walking and cycle routes, and there are two pubs, both serving food within a short distance, perfect after a busy day. Saffron Walden is close by, this medieval market town is rich in history and has held a market since 1141. The twice weekly market is now held on a Tuesday and Saturday. For those who enjoy fishing, coarse fishing is available within the grounds, 600 yards away (at cost). There are several gardens and trails to follow.
Audley End House and Gardens is a great day out, where you can explore the mansion house, visit the glorious gardens or discover what life was like as a Victorian servant. The university city of Cambridge is approximately 35 minutes’ drive away, why not enjoy a guided chauffeured tour of the seven colleges on a punt? Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ¾ miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 20 guests.
