The country style kitchen sits to one side and offers an electric oven and hob. There is plenty of cupboard space for your holiday essentials and enough work top space from which to prepare a delicious picnic to enjoy on the beach or a home cooked evening meal. A dining table sits to one side and provides plenty of seating for four whilst the deep filled sofas are well placed for a relaxing evening in. A smart TV with Netflix will provide your evening entertainment. A washing machine is tucked away under the stairs for your convenience and a ground floor bathroom offering a shower over bath completes the ground floor accommodation. To the first floor are two well-appointed bedrooms; a twin and a double.
The cottages sit around a shared central courtyard, landscaped to allow each property to have their own private seating area. Enjoy a morning coffee chatting to your fellow holiday neighbours or partake in an alfresco evening meal during the warmer summer months.
A short walk from Grange Farm will find you in the heart of the village where you can find plenty of shops, tea rooms and three great pubs serving casked ales and traditional home cooked food. Access to the nature reserve, Danes Dyke, is just along the road and offers beautiful woodland walks leading down to the sandy beach. To the north of the village, the 400-foot high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England, whilst South Landing has some fascinating natural trails. A visit in May to see the puffins is a must!
The stately homes of Burton Agnes, Burton Constable and Sledmere House are also within travelling distance as are the popular seaside resorts of Filey and Scarborough. A little further afield are the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds, the stunning North York Moors National Park, the historic city of York and market town of Beverley. Whether you are visiting to enjoy a walking or cycling holiday or to enjoy the stunning RSPB reserves along the coastline Old Stable is a cosy retreat to return to each evening. Beach 1 mile.
