Haldon View is in the heart of the picturesque estuary fishing village of Lympstone and offers exceptional views of the Exe Estuary. It is located at the end of a quiet private lane only leading to Cliff Field owned by the National Trust. This lovely semi-detached, Edwardian holiday home was extensively extended and refurbished to a high standard in 2021 and provides comfortable accommodation for up to six people. The beautiful views over the Exe Estuary can be enjoyed from the living room, main first-floor bedroom and gardens.
The light and airy sitting room features a decorative Edwardian fireplace. The dining area seats 6 and double doors lead to the Garden Room and kitchen. From here bi-fold doors open onto a patio area with a dining table and gas BBQ. 11 shallow steps lead to the upper garden with a further patio, garden furniture and excellent views over the estuary for your sundowners! A comfortable ground floor, double-aspect bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite shower room is accessed off the Garden Room. It offers views over the terraced gardens and has side views of the front garden and estuary. A utility/boot room is also accessed from the Garden Room.
Upstairs, the spacious main bedroom is at the front of the house and provides stunning views over the Exe Estuary from the large bay window. It has plenty of storage space and a comfortable king-size bed. The third bedroom, with a double bed and original decorative fireplace, is located at the rear of the house. A small study area off the landing leads to the extended modern bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle.
Haldon View has spacious gardens with river views to the side and front. There is a generous car park with two parking places to the side of the house. It is only a couple of minutes’ stroll down to the pretty harbour, Seaglass Gallery, shop/post office, two friendly village pubs serving good, locally sourced food and an ice cream parlour and café. Michael Caine’s fabulous luxury hotel Lympstone Manor is also within walking distance, offering Michelin-starred dining and afternoon teas.
Access to the cycle paths to Exmouth and Topsham is just minutes from the house and the village boasts eighteen footpaths providing beautiful coastal and country walks. A short drive (3½ miles) into Exmouth will take you to the miles of sandy beaches along the Jurassic Coast, or it is an easy drive inland to the beautiful moors. The village railway station has a frequent and regular service to Exmouth, Topsham and Exeter, and there is also a bus service close by. There are four charging points for electric cars in the public car park only 5 minutes’ walk from Haldon View.
